The INESS (International Conference on Nanomaterials and Advanced Energy Storage Systems) conference series began in 2013 as a pioneering forum in Astana, Kazakhstan. This annual event quickly established itself as a critical gathering for experts, scientists, and students from around the globe, including nations such as Japan, Korea, France, China, Russia, Canada, the UAE, the UK, Turkey, and Kazakhstan. The conference has been dedicated to exploring the frontiers of renewable energy, materials science, energy storage systems, and nanotechnology.

Over the years, INESS conference has been held with continued success in Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019,  2020 and 2021 (online), with a special edition taking place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 2016, and in 2023, which was held in Mugla, Turkey. These gatherings have effectively served as vital platforms for reviewing recent progress, addressing current challenges, and discussing future directions in materials science, nanotechnologies, ecology, renewable energy, energy storage systems, and various modeling methods in these domains. As the INESS conference progresses, it remains committed to fostering innovation, facilitating international collaboration, and contributing significantly to the global discourse on sustainable development and technological advancement in its core areas of focus.
